My name is Maria Hite and as you can tell from my first post, I will be 30 this year. I am a mother of 3 children, ages 12, 11, and 4. I have a full time carreer where I telecommute for a firm based out of Florida. I am lucky enough to travel back and forth only a few times a year for work which means I have the majority of time with my family. So, where did this all start?

I was born in Hattiesburg, MS although I moved from there at 6 months old – ok well my parents moved :). I am the youngest of three children, I have a sister who is four years older than I and a brother who is 18 months older. As I was growing up we lived in Illinois, my father was in the Air Force and the first home I remember is Rantoul Illinois. The Air Base is no longer there, its been turned into something else for quite some time. From Rantoul we moved to Murphysboro Illinois where I have some of the best of my memories.

Starting at about the age of 8 we began moving, a lot. By the time I was 16 I had lived in over 13 different houses and most of those were in completely different towns. Resillient? Yes, thank goodness for that! So, at the age of 16 I found myself pregnant with my son. The next 5 years flew by in a flash with a miriad of mistakes to show for them but out of that I did get my daughter and found my current husband.

I have landed now, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, after 8 or 9 years spent in Central Florida. I truly love the places I have been and I also, truly love, calling West Virginia home. Life is much more laid back and people are much more at ease. I have learned not to regret any part of my life because it all attributes to who I am today. However, some of what is making me who I am is not always good. So, with all of that in tow, here I am to set out on my own journey of truth, faith, discovery, and love.
